Quotes I really like =]

"Everybody is a genious. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it's stupid."

"We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."

"Years of love have been forgot in just a minute of hatred."

"We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it."

Secret of the week! =]

Haha no one knows, hence the secret of the week, but I actually really do love the band Big Time Rush from the kids show on Nickelodeon. I think they have some pretty cool songs with really great lyrics. This is one of my favorite songs from them. =]

Random Thoughts

"Adversity can increase faith or instead can cause the troubling roots of bitterness to spring up... One's life, therefore, can not be both faith filled and stress free... Therefore, how can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, 'Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made thee what thou art! Then, let me come and dwell with thee and fully share thy joy.'"

Tunnel Singing

Tonight my cousin texted me and asked me if I would like to go tunnel singing with her at BYU. Lately I havent been feeling like doing much with anyone, but I decided to go. Oh my, I am so glad that I did make that decision! For those of you who have never been down there on sunday nights to sing, you should concider it at least once. It brings the spirit so strongly while people are singing and it is just over all AMAZING. We were singing for a while, and about half way into it they have a time where people can stand up and tell us if they, friends, family, or anyone have been called on a mission or currently surving one. I was sitting there listening to guys, and girls, tell us where they have been called to and when they live. They sounded so enthusiastic and happy to be going out all around the world to serve. It reminded me of Romans 1:16. It starts out by saying "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ." I just thought it was so awesome that they are so willing and so ready to go out and serve the Lord. I just thought it was pretty cool being surrounded by so many people who share the same beliefs as I do and singing to invite the spirit. Haha well those are my random thoughts of the night!
"For the sould delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads."

Happy Thanksgiving! xD

Today has been a very exciting, fun filled Thanksgiving day. It started by me and my brother waking up to go watch some guys play football.
:D Some of the young men from my ward were out in shorts and t-shirts playing football. They were crazy!!! So after me and my brother got too cold to stand there anymore, we left for home again. Because my sister had to work, it was just me and Zach hanging out for a while. We played the nintendo for a while, and even played outside for a little bit. It was fun!

Then it finally was time to EAT!!!!! We went up to my aunt's house and had a party! For anyone who doesnt know my family, when we get together its always fun! My aunt Trisha always brings games and we all just laugh and have fun for HOURS. We tried to teach the little ones how to play Set, but it didnt work. So we started to play Phase 10. I won :D
My sister then finally got off work, and we all went home. I was extremely curious to know what my family was grateful for. So I asked them all and I was actually suprised at some of they're answers, because I never realized how much the small things matter to everyone in everyday life. I started with my brother, who I was most impressed with, and his response was: "I am grateful for the books I have to read. And for Amber who carries me on her shoulders when Im too tired to walk. And for shoes so my feet dont get wet. And light so I can see. And paper so I can draw pictures" I loved it! So I then went to my dad. He said: "Im grateful that after everything that has happened this year, (numerous surgeries) Im still alive and that through it all I still had a job waiting for me." My mom then had a problem pin pointing anything specific she was grateful for. She first started out by saying EVERYTHING. I asked her what specifically and she replied: "My job. Of couse my family and how much they are progressing. My health. Our wonderful ward. Beautiful children. Everything..." Finally I got to ask my sister. She didnt have any problem naming a whole list of things she was grateful for: "Im grateful for my family and friends. For my talents and the ability to share them with others. And for my sister, cause I can talk to her about anything" I loved hearing everything that they were grateful for, and Im sure the lists could be never ending, I know mine is. Now I just want to say that I am very grateful for my family, and for the wonderful support they give. Im grateful for my older sister to look up to, and my younger brother that I can help take care of. Im so grateful for the impact music has in my life, and the wonderful spirit it can bring. Im grateful for my wonderful friends who help me through life in any way they can. Im grateful for the ward I was able to move into and how united we can be. Im sooo grateful to have a young women president that cares so much about every single young women in the stake and all the effort she puts in to being the best that she can be. Im grateful for my talents and every opportunity I get to share them. And like I said earlier, My list could go on forever... But thats just a few things Im especially grateful for. My Thankgiving was great and I hope yours was too. Luv ya all!!!

Two Wolves

TWO WOLVES
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
"One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
"The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
